Volunteers are needed for just about everything. Because Project Grad is organized each year by a different group of parents and guardians, it is crucial that we have several volunteers sign up each year. Project Grad planning typically starts in January and runs through the end of the event. The bulk of the work and time commitments of Project Grad occur prior to the main event. This way, parents can focus on their graduating seniors when their big day comes.
It might feel like a lot now, but you'll miss it when it's gone. This is our last hurrah, our last big push to the finish line, our last chance to rally behind our high schoolers. Many hands make light work, and it takes a lot to host a successful Project Graduation. Fortunately, we have years of experience from parents who help guide us and have set up systems. Today, there are generations of GHS graduates who attended Project Grad as students and now are volunteering for their own children. Community members who do not have graduating seniors, but would like to volunteer their time, are welcome to join in on our planning.

Parents of GHS graduates understand that an epic night of celebrating your next venture into adulthood with your parents as chaperones is somewhat contradictory. That's why we do our best to find chaperones and volunteers for the celebration who can relate. We have an excellent ongoing partnership with people from various community organizations who are perfect for the job. We collaborate with Western Colorado University, Choice Pass, and GCSAPP to chaperone the night of Project Grad.
